Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana – Saubhagya is being implemented to provide energy access to all by last mile connectivity and electricity connections to all remaining un-electrified households in rural as well as urban areas to achieve universal household electrification in the country.
The States and Union Territories are required to complete the works of household electrification by the 31st of December 2018.
The Skilling initiative being run by Power sector Skill council, with the support of Training Provider Mosaic Workskills Pvt. Ltd. aims at training and certification of 2000 workers (Lineman Distribution, Technical Helper) in western Madhya Pradesh under MP –Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Nigam, while a total of estimated 6000 in entire Madhya Pradesh and 55000 in India will be trained under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana a Government of India funded initiative.
Employment of Skill trained personnel in the above mentioned skill sets not only helps in achieving the objectives of Govt. of India for providing power for all in the country but also helps in providing employment opportunity in large numbers, at the same time ensuring quality of construction and accident free working.
SAUBHAGYA skilling initiative in Madhya Pradesh will include all the districts of the state.
It is estimated that the skilling initiative will conclude by September 2018 which will significantly influence the successful roll-out of SAUBHAGYA project across M.P.
Under this training all the Lineman and Technical helper undergoes a small 5-8 days of training course where they are trained to use the equipment safely. Also they are explained about precautions to be taken while working on filed and rectifying the issue during working on electric pole efficiently.
